Symbol Form

The goals of the symbol form project will be to develop a mark that fits into an existing symbol system, to understand the role of symbol systems and the process of developing any kind of simplified mark, as well as to practice the physical skills of drawing necessary to design symbols and visual communication marks of all kinds. In this project, Alice in Wonderland is added to the symbol set.

The beginning of the project is to choose a symbol system. This is a disney movie poster set displayed by symbols of its own movies.

Below are rough renderings of the new symbol that will be added to the set, which would be Alice in Wonderland. This step is done after exploring several sketches.

This is the finalize step of this symbol ready to be combined with the original one. The construction of the symbol matches the other symbols in the system.

Lastly, the symbol gets integrated into the original sets. This new symbols show designs that are cohesive and related to other symbols in the set.
